E. Stanton Broderick, 99, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Watervliet on July 13, 1912, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Anna E. DeLee Broderick, Sr. A resident of Watervliet for most of his life, Stanton was a graduate of Watervliet High School and Troy Business College. He was employed by the General Electric Co. in Schenectady as a technical specialist for 35 years. He was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet. He loved to play golf and to garden and putter around his home in Watervliet. He was involved in Cub Scouts when his boys were younger and he maintained a camp on Crooked Lake. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Donnelly Broderick, who died Christmas Day, 1996. Devoted father of Stanton M. (Linda) Broderick of Derby, NY and Frank A. Broderick III of Ballston Lake; father-in-law of Joan Kerwood of Halfmoon; brother of the late Frank A. Broderick, Jr. and Eulalie Heffron; proud grandfather of Michael, John and Jay Broderick, Kim Kerwood, Bethany Jenkinson, Colin and Glenna Broderick; great- grandfather of Logan, Kaia, Calleigh and Edmond. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
