Bermuda
The stunning color palette of Bermuda, oh how I will never forget the amazement of that aqua and turquoise water. Right before your eyes appears the most gorgeous coloring and still, it doesn’t seem real. It’s magical. Or since seeing a recent lucky charms commercial, it’s “Magically Delicious!!”
Traditionally, the people of Bermuda decided to paint their homes in colors of flowers, most commonly in hues of pinks, corals, greens, yellows and more recently in shades of blues. In fact, in recent times, the exposure to the “outside world” has resulted in modern architecture adapting to the island. This is especially true of the commercial aspect, and has thus influenced the loss of Bermuda’s indigenous architectural design. Bermuda National Trust was formed to protect and restrict the modern influences and to retain the architecture’s original heritage.
Since my Husband, Phil, and I went on a cruise to Bermuda for our 10th Anniversary, I do have to admit that 3 days is not even close to a reasonable amount of time to spend exploring and absorbing the gorgeousness of Bermuda. A cruise to Bermuda is nothing more than a teaser ;) You will leave the island wanting more!
My greatest sorrow I think was not having time to photograph the architecture and buildings. The inspirational messages that adorned the bus stops was a charming and unexpected treat. I only got to view them from the bus but I assure you, upon my return one day, my camera will preserve such little gems.
Thank You for taking the time to view my photography. Feel free to leave comments, rate your favorites or share them. As always, please provide proper credit and respect the copyright laws.
